What You Should Look for in an Online Bingo Site

When you’re on the hunt for a great online bingo site what do you look for? What sort of things are deal breakers for you as a player? With the requirements of licensing and regulations on the side of gamblers in many regions, players can (and should) be more selective.

In terms of bingo bonuses size definitely matters to many players but there’s a lot more to consider when claiming these bonus boosters. A No Deposit Bonus or Welcome Bonus always contains fine print and the devil is in the details, as they say. In the UK, the ASA sets rules for advertising offers and players have been defended when operators slip up and entice you with misleading offers. An online casino recently found itself in hot water with the ASA when it sent an email to players containing a deposit bonus offer. The email failed to mention the wagering requirements that must be met prior to a withdrawal of the winnings. Even though the operator says the playthrough was indicated on a page linked within the body of the email, the ASA sided with the complainant and has been restricted from using this promotional material again in its current format.

Although this example pertains to an online casino operator, Golden Tiger, it’s still an example of how regulations are protecting UK punters as they do in other regulated regions. The terms and conditions should be clear and most importantly, contain rules that you are willing to accept.

It is a daunting task to read through the T&C’s but key aspects to note include deposit and withdrawal limits. Operators have been known to set higher minimum withdrawal limits that make it impossible for players to withdraw anything less than $100, for example. If the withdrawal limit is set at $2,000 per week players should look for a rule that says this limit will not apply to progressive jackpot wins. Winning a massive jackpot and having to withdraw it in small weekly increments would be very disappointing.

Note the bonus rules including wagering requirements, minimum deposits and maximum cashouts.

So in short, bingo players should be making sure that the operator’s rules are ones that you can play by. Fair bingo makes for happy players.

Have you ever found something in the fine print that stopped you from depositing or even registering at a bingo site?
