During a series of thefts, an urn containing the ashes of an American woman's deceased mother was stolen from her car.

64 year old Diane Bozzi says that a portion of her mother's ashes were inside the urn. The remaining ashes are located in a cemetery in Maine. "It makes me feel empty," said Bozzi.

Bozzi had the urn on the passenger side of the car inside a bingo bag full of good luck charms.

Bozzi’s mother, who died in 2002 at the age of 75, really enjoyed playing bingo. Bozzi made a promise to her mother before she died. She promised that she would continue to take her to bingo and had seen this through by carrying her ashes along with her.

The mother and daughter duo played bingo together quite often. "She and I were really, really close," said Bozzi.

Bozzi was all set to play bingo at the Rochester Senior Center, which is why the ashes were in the car.

She would love nothing more than to have the ashes returned to her in time for Christmas.

"I just want my mother back," said Bozzi.
