Thanksgiving Bingo Turkey

This week bingo was used to give one lucky player a Thanksgiving turkey by winning a game held at the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary bingo night.

The turkey bingo night was held this week with 15 games played and 15 turkeys up for grabs. A blackout game was held after the special games with a fabulous prize.

According to the Grand Forks Herald, “The proceeds go to the DAV to help with various programs that help veterans and their families, said Sandy Dobmeier, adjutant for DAV Auxiliary Unit No. 2. This includes transporting veterans to a Veteran Affairs clinic for appointments, bingos games and flags at nursing homes for veterans on Veterans Day.”

The first turkey bingo game was hosted on November 5th and gives players the chance to win a bird for the holiday. All cards were on sale for $2 and may be used on all 15 games Bingo cards cost $2, which can be used for all 15 games with the bonus buy of $1 for the blackout ticket.
