There has been an article published in the Mail today which states that an elderly and frail pensioner has been banned from all the Mecca Bingo Halls in the UK. The reason reported is that the elderly lady a Mrs Rosalyn Clemson had breached Mecca Bingo Hall rules by organising a day trip to visit a nearby competitor for herself and her bingo playing friends.

The lady concerned has stated that she had no idea that she was breaching any club rules when she tried to arrange the coach trip to a Runcorn bingo hall, and that she had just wanted to offer a change of scenery to her friends. The Mecca Bingo hall have said in the Mail report that they do not comment on individual cases but confirmed that the lady concerned and her husband were in fact barred from the clubs.

Mrs Clemson is rather sad that she can no longer visit the Mecca Bingo hall as she has been playing there for the last 50 years, which is even before Mecca Bingo took over. She has been diagnosed with depression by her doctor which she puts down to the stress that she has had to endure from the ban from the Mecca Bingo hall. Mrs Clemson is not in good health and requires a motorised scooter to travel any distance after recently undergoing a hip operation. She also has heart problems which require medication and is allegedly feeling suicidal due to the depression felt after the ban from the Mecca Bingo Hall which is located across the road from where she lives.
