Bingo will go down in the annals of history as being one of the greatest money making charity events conceivable. Churches, parishes, schools, and other local organizations have long enjoyed the funds that charity bingo games have raised and just because the game of bingo has largely moved to online bingo sites, that doesn't mean the charity has stopped.

Mirror Bingo yesterday hosted one of the biggest bingo fundraisers ever. The star studded event was held all day in a bid to raise as much money and increase awareness for the charity Children with Leukemia. Guests included Carol Vorderman and Linda Robinson who joined players and chatters on the popular Mirror Bingo website.

Children with Leukemia was established in 1987 in the name of 14 year old Paul O'Gorman, who sadly died from Leukemia. Since then, the charity has gone on to raise an impressive £90m and also raise awareness in everybody that Leukemia is such a huge problem for our children.

One in three child cancer sufferers, have a form of Leukemia making it one of the most common forms of cancer in children today. Hopefully the Mirror Bingo drive will have helped raise more funds for this worthy cause.
