According to the Star Tribune, a Minnesota woman was playing an electronic bingo game at Margie’s Roosevelt Bar last Saturday and won $71,054, which is the biggest win for the charitable e-bingo business in the state.
The bar customer was playing an e-bingo game called “Voodoo Guru” on an iPad.
“She looked down and said, ‘I got it, I got it,’” said the bar manager Margie Koivunen. The player received her payout on Wednesday during a media event where organizers from the Twin Cities will present her with a check.
Koivunen said that this bar was included in the first group of bars and restaurants to offer charitable e-gaming. “It’s really a fun form of entertainment,” she said.
There are currently a total of 225 locations in Minnesota that offer electronic gaming with 2,800 throughout the state offering paper pulltabs, e-gaming or both.
