Who would have thought that Mecca bingo would get involved in the food industry, I certainly wouldn’t have. But they are inviting all budding cooks with creative possibility to share their best satisfying and cost-cutting recipes with them, and they are planning to print the winning entry in a cookbook.

Submitting these recipes puts the contributors into a position whereby they can win great prizes, and this promotion is not only open to Mecca Bingo online players, it is open to anyone who has a care to contribute from any of the land based clubs too. Recipes will be judged in four categories, Club, Online, Regional and National and they have to be a tasty dish which is able to serve 4 and it must cost £5 or less to rustle up.

Entries may be submitted to Mecca Bingo up till the 30th August, so you don’t have a lot of time left to get into the competition, but you still have a few days to don your chefs hat and come up with something, if don’t already have a suitable recipe.

Finalists from each round of the competition will be invited to London to prepare their dish in a professional kitchen. They will get to stay in a London Hotel overnight, be treated to a West End show, and be given £250 in grocery vouchers. Isn’t that nice? The absolute winner will be given £500 in grocery vouchers and their dish will be served up at a local Mecca Bingo hall, as an honorary celebration. The winner will also have their recipe published in a recipe book which is being printed to raise funds for Whizz Kidz, Mecca Bingo’s charitable cause. Send yours in today, you don’t have to play bingo, or do anything else special in order to enter.
