Mecca Bingo Chooses Marie Curie Cancer Care as Charity

Bingo is well known for assisting charitable causes! One of the reasons why it is so acceptable as a form of "soft" gambling is because of the fact that historically bingo has been known as a game which is used for fund raising for the less fortunate. In the past Mecca Bingo have been very prominent in their fund raising efforts for Whizz Kidz, and although I doubt that they will stop raising fund for this charity altogether, they have advertised that their charity for this year will be Marie Curie Cancer Care.

This charitable concern offers nursing care for terminally ill cancer patients, in their homes, across the UK, and is a very worthy cause. Apparently only £20 will fund one hour of this nursing care, and this can make a lot of difference in a lot of people's lives. They do not charge these people for their this care, the charity supports it and they care for over 22 000 patients. Apparently this is not nearly half of the people who require terminal cancer care so the Mecca Bingo efforts could make a huge difference. Rank, the Mecca parent company wants to raise £20,000 in 2010, and they have a link at the site where donations can be made.

Make a note that Share the Wealth ends on the 31st March, this is the Clover Rollover £10000 promotion and there is now more than £1.6 million in this amazing PJP. The £10,000 Daily Jackpot promotion also ends on the 31st March, so you still have a few days left to try and be a winner in this one. The last winner was "carolynoswin" and she caught a superb £10,191.09 a couple of days ago.
