Mecca Bingo Brings New Marketing Director On Board

As part of a restructuring plan to combine their land based bingo and online gaming division, the Rank Group has brought a new team member on board. James Condon, former marketing director of Morrisons, will fill the role of marketing director responsible creating one solid Mecca Bingo brand.

This position is brand new to the company and will require Condon to take hold of marketing plans and work under Mecca Bingo managing director, Mark Jones. He will also work closely with the marketing director for the Rank Group, Phil Gates, with regard to Mecca Bingo.

Miles Baron previously held the title of marketing director for Mecca’s land based clubs. He will remain with the company in some capacity but his role has not yet been determined.

Mark Jones said, "Recent customer insights reveal that it doesn't matter whether our customers play online, in clubs, on their smartphone or iPad - as far as they are concerned, they are playing at Mecca. For that reason, we took the decision to move from a channel-based structure to a brand-based one, creating a single Mecca brand team so that we can collectively focus on delivering a fantastic experience for our customers, no matter how they choose to play."
