It is a win than most of us could only dream about. Perdro Quezda, 44 and a father of five walked into Eagle Liquor store in New Jersey and purchased a Powerball ticket. Little did he know he was about to be the sole winner of the 4th largest Powerball Jackpot in history.

In a drawing on March 23rd the winning numbers were: 17, 29, 31, 52, 53, and the Powerball number, 31. The new multi-millionaire from Dominick Republic has lived in the United States for the last 26 years.

The very first thing he did was call his wife to tell her the fantastic news.

“I had no words,” she said of hearing her husband had won. “My heart wanted to come out of my chest. I had no words.”

Quezada currently lives with his wife in children in an apartment that faces the highway. His neighbors were congratulating the winner before it was officially announced.

This is super for all of us on this block,” neighbor Eladia Vazquez told NBC New York. “They deserve it because they are hardworking people.”

“I felt pure joy,” Quezada said through a translator on Tuesday.

“My family is a very humble family and we’re going to help each other out,” he said.
“I’m going to help a lot of people, whatever they need,” he told the New York Daily News earlier.
