A proud gran-of-seven has scooped just under £29,000 playing at Falkirk’s Gala Bingo. The 70-year-old was over the moon when the four numbers she was waiting for in the national link-up game came out in succession.
She admitted that she usually doesn’t play that particular game, because she thought the odds weren’t in her favor having in mind that you’re playing against all the clubs in Scotland and England. ‘What chance have you got?’ said Janette. That night she had £2 lying so she decided to play anyways. Soon she couldn’t believe her eyes when the numbers came up not even realizing how much she had won until she looked up at the main board. She couldn’t wait to get home and share the good news with her husband Bruce.
“He was upstairs, and I told him to come down. I said I’d had a wee win at the bingo!” Janette said in good humor.
