Doing charity work is one of the admirable aspects of operating a bingo club. Many bingo clubs donate portions of their profits from the sale of bingo tickets to the charity of their choice. One club that is giving back is the Gala Bingo club in Sheffield who has already collected more than £1,500 for a local children’s hospice called Bluebell Wood.

The staff have held come up with unique ideas to raise money including a recent event called Pajama Bingo Night. The mission of Bluebell Wood is to support those children who don’t have a long life ahead of them due to illness.

With regard to the charitable donation from Gala Bingo, Gail Parkin, a Fundraiser for Bluebell Wood, said’ “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Gala Bingo for all their hard work and the fantastic amount of money they have raised. As we receive no statutory government funding our eight shops around the region rely on donations from the public for their income, and we rely on our shops to help keep Bluebell Wood running so we’re incredibly grateful to Gala Bingo for all their support.”
