Nova Scotia implemented some new regulations this month that now allow organizations to host charitable bingo games to aid in financial hardships.

The government has said that charitable bingo has been on the decline over the last ten years therefore, decreasing revenue. In an attempt to boost popularity, the gov has agreed to new rules that now allow free bingo cards to be given plus and increase in daily prizes $15k to $20k.

John MacDonell, minister of Service Nova Scotia and municipal relations, said that income from bingo games helps to support many groups from volunteer fire departments to sports teams.

Perhaps the new rules will boost revenue for the province and draw players back into bingo.
