Caesars Interactive has purchased Buffalo Studios, creator of Bingo Blitz, once year after the acquisition of Playtika, creator of Slotomania.

In terms of social network gaming, the spot light has been on Bingo Bash developed by Bash Gaming. After a recent name chance, Bash Gaming, formerly known as BitRyhmes, has made headlines with the success of their free bingo game available on Facebook. This media attention makes it interesting that Caesars hadn’t gone after striking up a deal with them versus the takeover of Bash Gaming.

Caesars has recently obtained their license with the Nevada Gaming Authority to operate online poker legally within the state. Could this be a glimpse into the future of Bingo Blitz?

Terms of the acquisition deal were not made publically available; however 74 Buffalo Studios’ employees will keep their jobs at Santa Monica studio working to combine the Bingo Blitz game, Bingo Rush, into an affiliate of its Playtika subsidiary.

Bingo Blitz holds the number 6 spot for the most popular Facebook game in the Gambling category falling just behind Bingo Bash. At the top of the list is Texas HoldEm Poker by Zynga with Playtika’s Slotmania on their heels at number 2.
