Chancellor George Osborne announces Bingo tax will be reduced from 20% to 10%. According the chancellor bingo clubs have "plummeted by three quarters over the last 30 years."

According to the Bingo Association higher taxes are to blame for local Bingo hall closings resulting in nearly 2,000 jobs lost.

The figures from the Gambling Commission report that the number of people employed in halls dropped from 17,822 to 16,048 in a three year period.
