Mecca Bingo Hall in All Saints Green, Norwich is more than just a local Bingo hall, it is historic. Unfortunately the building was demolished after standing for decades.
The decision to tear down the building was made by landowner Telereal Trillium who began the project earlier this summer.
Structurally built in the 1930’s if the walls could talk they would tell quite a tale. The solid construction survived a bombing during the Second World War continue to thrive with a lively Bingo crowd.
The building also was home to a cinema and theatre. The Rolling Stones appeared there in 1964 and played.
It is undetermined what will be replaced at this location as we bid farewell to the memories it holds for bingo players and theatre visitors alike.
