Bingo Comes to Blows

We aren’t kidding when we say bingo is serious business. A perfect example is the latest fight that ensued between two pensioners at a bingo hall.

How dare she shout “House” too soon? It’s being reported that two women approximately 60’ish started swinging when one accused the other of calling too early.

The police had to intervene in during the bingo game held at sheltered housing in Greasbrough in the UK.
One of the fighters was given a tenancy warning by Rotherham Borough Council after Monday evening’s incident. You can just imagine the look on the officers faces when they arrived only two find that the ladies were, well, let’s just say so mature.

South Yorkshire Police PCSO Simon Ellis said: “We spoke to both parties and gave them advice.
“We just said they can't be acting like that and one of them will be getting a warning from the council.”

PCSO Ellis said: “They didn't want her arrested. I think it was just the shock of what had happened more than anything.

“The housing officer there didn't over-react, she wasn't really sure what to do in that situation.

“It was one of the first calls of our evening shift and it's definitely not the usual type of call we get.”

A council spokesman said: “We have given one woman a tenancy warning about her future conduct.”
