Beavers, Cubs and Scouts Unite for Charity Bingo Fundraiser

A couple of weeks ago we talked about the rise in the number of charity bingo games, as charities, societies and individuals realize how this popular game can help raise money for their chosen cause.

The latest gathering of like minded fundraisers occurred a couple of weeks ago in Ninfield Memorial Hall in Bexhill-On-Sea. We’re sure there have been plenty more events since but this one stuck in our mind because it brought people together.

The local Beaver’s, Cubs, Explorer Troops and Scouts split the proceeds to go towards events for their members. The event itself was put together by a team of organizers which included Lorna Tomasetti. She explained, "The children are very lucky to have such a dedicated team of adult leaders, who have organised many exciting activities which has seen all sections increase in numbers over the past couple of years.”

It seems that the event would not have been possible without the support of other local businesses and organizations. Mrs Tomasetti added, "The organisers would like to thank all the local businesses who kindly sponsored rounds of bingo - Ninfield Village Stores, Hope Farm Shop, Air Cooled Workshop, Jelly Bean buses, Parker and Sons Builders, Haffenden Roofing, Nicholas Webb and Duty Point."

It’s not the first time the group has held bingo events, or fundraisers on this scale. Over 100 locals attended the event last weekend which included a number of prizes donated by the local businesses and sponsors.
