According to the Mirror, a 94-year-old woman says that the key to a long and happy life is bingo.
Ethel Denny is from Yarm, Stockton-on-Tees and has been playing bingo for 30 years. She travels to Beacon Bingo each week paying £27 each way in a taxi.
She recently celebrated her 94th birthday there and admits that she hasn’t had a win in about a year.
Ethel, a former supermarket manager, said: "It keeps your brain active and even at my age I play six books.
"I once won £2,000 about 15 years ago. But it's a long time since I've won anything. My last win was about £30 a year ago."
The numbers game the social factor keep Ethel sharp. She says, "You could stay in the house and look at four walls but you would lose your buttons."
