What Does the Apple iPad 2 mean for Online Bingo?

Innovations and developments in technology have always shaped the way people play bingo online, in the beginning this would have been on the pc with a movement over the years to laptops or notebooks. Apple has proclaimed 2011 ‘The Year of the Tablet’ with their iPad 2 taking over 70% market share despite the influx of other high end tablet pc’s on the market. Why am I telling you this? Well simply put tablets and mobile technology will mean more mobile bingo sites. But how will this work?
 

What the iPad means for online bingo?
 

Playing bingo on your iPad, iPad 2 or tablet PC is much like the laptop based site except sites will be slimmed and trimmed so pages will load faster and users’ enjoyment of the game will not be compromised. If bingo providers want to keep players happy they’d do well to trim out unnecessary graphics, widgets and gizmos not required by the games themselves. We would imagine this would work best if the bingo room and chat area filled the whole screen from login. For example players could access the site, login directly to the game lobby then connect to the room without having to open any other windows.
 

The iPad 2 has 9x the graphics power of the original iPad making it perfect for high quality graphics and game play, if you have a 3G version or tether your wi-fi version to your phone you can play on the move. We feel a wi-fi connection would be better and predict that sites who offer this service will insist on wi-fi to access their site, 3G connections are prone to dropping out which is not ideal when you are mid game and can result in losses if you are playing slots etc.
