Seven and Six is a short film that will feature several well known UK actors and requires Bingo playing extras to be in the film. The film itself is about a woman whose only release from her miserable marriage is through her weekly games of bingo. Seven and Six will be filmed largely at the 37 Puriton bingo hall and volunteer extras are encouraged to attend the hall on May 27th to be featured in the film.
Seven and Six, the title of the film, relates to the bingo call for 76. Seven and Six was the price once paid for a marriage license, hence why many players call out “Was she worth it?” or “Was he worth it?” when the number 76 is called.
The film Seven and Six will have its premiere at Bristol's Watershed Cinema next month and will then be aired at film festivals, and numerous screenings around the country. The film stars Peter McGowan and Sharon Duce but extras are required for the important scenes shot within the bingo hall itself. Extras will be used as bingo players and are being called on a voluntary basis.
