A pensioner was unlucky that his winning call was not acknowledged in a game of bingo. However as a form of compensation, the bingo club she had played in had agreed to pay 9,000 pounds to her.
The 70 year old pensioner, Uda Banks would receive cash from Gala Bingo once they look at the audio footage of the winning bingo game that was played in Pool Meadow of Coventry city center, three weeks ago.
This mother of seven and grandmother of six was devastated when the caller of the game of bingo has not stopped the game with her call. This would have deprived her of a big win in bingo games, during her 40 years as a member in the club.
It was her daughter, Patricia Clarke who had first received the good news from Gala Bingo about their agreeing to pay her mother her win. However she had not been able to inform her mother as she was attending her nephew’s funeral in Jamaica.
She said that she had received a call from Gala over the weekend where they informed her that they would indeed honor her mother’s bingo win.
