More Bingo Clubs Close Their Doors

The game is unfortunately up for yet another couple of bingo halls across the country. Many clubs have been forced to shut because of financial problems, resulting in a combination of dodgy and unfair double taxation of bingo, along with the smoking ban that has seen many people turn to playing bingo online instead.

One Deluxe Bingo Hall in Southend has been mysteriously closed; padlocks have been added and a bailiff's note reads that any attempts to enter the building could lead to legal action being taken against the owners. Players have no idea what has happened to cause the closure or whether the club will open again in the future.

In Nuneaton, the former Gala Bingo hall, which has been closed for a little while and was believed to have been sold, has been put back on the market at a reduced price. Talks were under way with a buyer, who were set to pay the asking price of £1.5m but the building has now been put back on the market for a reduced £1.2m.

Unfortunately, high street bingo has run into some serious problems of late and clubs are closing down across the country. If you're struggling to find somewhere local to play then look at our online bingo site reviews.
