when it comes to bingo. After all, what could be the first term to search when you’re looking for bingo online? It’s nothing else but bingo, right? But no matter how popular the online bingo site is, it still ended with a challenging second quarter for this year 2009. Let us take a look at the numbers they have reported.

Just last week, Bingo.com has reported their second quarter figures, from April to June of 2009. They’ve reported a loss of 9 percent amounting to $266,702. According to Tarrnie Williams, Bingo.com’s Chief Executive, the increase in losses were mainly to the fact that the licensing costs had increased as well, not to mention the more competitive online bingo market in the UK and their development that has been going on for quite some time. They say that their traffic and revenues have actually been increasing. However, the tough competition of such online bingo sites in the UK has reduced the individual player values. So even if the traffic is increasing, perhaps the customer retention isn’t that good. Or even if they retain their customers, their time playing at the site may have been decreasing with the increasing online bingo sites and great promotions being offered in the market today.

Aside from those factors, the Chief Executive has mentioned that their license from the Malta Gaming License has increased. At the same time, other costs have been going up as well. Such costs included the affiliate marketing costs and their investments on search engine optimization. And of course, as mentioned, they are continuously developing their site. In order for them to capture a higher percentage of the market share, they are focusing on improving their site and everything about it. We’ll probably expect a couple of changes from the site in the next couple of months.
