Bingo.com has its sights firmly set on taking a more dominant position in the UK online bingo market. To enable their plans for growth the company will require increased exposure and marketing in the UK and to facilitate this process Bingo.com have announced that they have been granted class 1 and 3 gaming licences in Malta which will give the green light to provide online bingo games and will also allow the provision of online slot machines. The new licences are in the name of the parent company Bingo.com Operations Limited and have been rubber stamped by the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority; they also grant the company the right to transfer their online bingo operation to Malta, however there is no legal requirement to do so. It has been reported that Bingo.com will be moving all of their online bingo operations from the current location in Anguilla to Malta in the very near future.
The Chief Executive Officer for the online bingo site Tarnie Williams, made a statement highlighting how the new licences are critical to Bingo.com’s plans for expanding their operation in the “booming UK market”, he said “we are now free to begin marketing in the UK and are able to expand the reach of our affiliate programme to new and popular websites”. It is Mr Williams belief that with their multi-language and multi-currency application as well as their new UK marketing initiatives that the move to Malta will be extremely beneficial to the company.
Bingo.com launched in 1999 and have nearly 2 million registered members with reportedly 800 new members signing on every day, they are a well established and well know online bingo site that provides users with a whole package of online gaming including; slots, sweepstakes and multiplayer bingo.
